Medical Devices

From micro cutting stents and medical tool welding to device and implantable marking.

Every medical product should be individually identifiable if recalled. Laser technology provides one of the most reliable methods of direct part marking.

Lasers are used to create strong, clean hermetic welds in medical tools and devices such as pacemakers, endoscopes, forceps and implants.

Cutting stents is one of the most demanding applications in the medical device industry. Stent diameters range between 1mm and 10mm with a wall thickness approx.100μm. The key requirement is a small kerf width (20μm-30μm).
